It’s time for new questions
Falling financial quotations, smashup of businesses, thousands of professionals that are not in the ball game… Every day we receive new messages on the global economic collapse unfolding beneath our eyes. Some people are distressed; others don’t care, just as people are indifferent to consequences of terrorist attacks, man-made catastrophes and earthquakes that happen in far away places. Can we blame people for this detachment, if they are sick and tired of disturbances, of feeling insecure about their future, if they do not see the boundary at which pious wishes degenerate into evil anymore?
The world is plunging into the collapse, and not only the financial one. “What’s to be done with global warming that reach disaster proportions, with hunger, social and political chaos gradually spreading from one region of the planet to others?” – those are the questions politicians ask themselves. And we see eye to eye with them here. Everybody is eager to know what is in store for us, where the modern world is going, to what feelings serve, what is meant by a decent life, for what sake any particular ‘key’ decision is taken, why we are violent in destruction? Actually, answers to them hinge on what is the status of truth and what the humankind is doing.
All in One Boat
Each and every crisis brings its problems, but there is a positive side.
Disillusionment and parting with well-established habits wakes up conscience of the people for whom the career, money and consumption have long become the essence of existence. We have an increasingly keen presentiment that all of us undergo major renewals. It is the communication system that is linking absolutely different representatives of the community, from heads of state to rank-and-file people that will determine to what extent these renewals will be efficient, quick and less painful.
Nowadays economists, politicians in many countries have realized, neither economics, nor policy, but only culture, culture of human relations, creation of new activities, life-style culture is considered as main resource of new round of evolutionary progress.
Unequalled Project
There is no answer to many questions the global collapse is posing to people. They can and must only be sought if everybody is involved into the future-creation processes. But are there many arrangements for resolving this problem now? Perhaps, the extraordinary situation in arranging for information exchange between people separated by thousands of kilometers necessitates the search for extraordinary solutions? The author of the project “The Globe is the Entire Earth” Marin Angel reasoned like that.

Marin Angel. He was born in Bulgaria and lived there till 28 years old. In the early nineties he emigrated to Finland. He is a journalist in the profession, the author of some books for children. He have devoted a lot of time to studying of Russian culture. He arrived to work to Moscow in January 2008. The most interesting for him are events which influence the development of the world history.
Finland was chosen for development of project “The Globe is the Entire Earth”. Magic sceneries: Lappish nature under the dome of north sky, that in winter breaks out of thousands of radiances – it’s well built house. In one of the rooms with glass walls you see an enormous transparent model of the globe. Initially it’s empty, but it’s to be filled with ground by people from different parts of world. They will arrive in couples: first of all representatives of countries which conflict. As the author of the project thinks, ordinary people, not politicians, they can perfectly perform diplomatic mission: they’ll bring a little of their native ground to mix it together and put this new ground into model. We wish couples from Iraq and the USA, Russia and Georgia were among the first. Ordinary people easy find what unites them: our planet, which prosperity is essential to guard, love to “small” Motherland, to our relations, wish to resist to demolitions. The project let its participants tell about their countries, why they love the place they live, why it’s important to maintain its originality. Particular attention will be paid to national culture traditions. Every meeting will be filmed and shown in international mass media.
We Need Fairy Tales Just Like We Need Air
At first site the description of this project remains a beautiful fairy tale.
Yes, meaning the fairy tales like those written by Andersen or like Grin’s “Red Sails”. There is an allegory of the life truth in them. There is no play into the round world but an action that can make any dream come true.
The greatest loss many people from different countries have experienced in recent years is depreciation of the man’s dearest notions. The words of Motherland, Faith and Love are transforming into fool-the-eyes, and it sometimes seems difficult to regain their true meaning. It seems so….. until we make an attempt to put off the superfluous and take the liberty of doing the unusual things.
Still why small Finland is equated with mission of Great States with their great ambitions? A person who plunged into this beauty easily could find the answer.
Random fields of huge stones, slightly covered with silver moss; blue smooth of uncountable lakes; forests, stretching through the country – these is perhaps all that the Nature gave to small Finland.
Laconism, nothing enormous, nothing “too much”. But may be this reserved severity taught people of this part of world to appreciate what is really important. Very simple things begin to speak miraculously about secrets exactly here. For example, at the entrance to one of Lappish cities every one can see amazing monument: stack of firewood put in form of huge cube. What symbolizes this fantasy? Warmth of a home, goodwill to guests? Nowadays people have a great need in such projects, where are nothing enormous, nothing “too much”. The border between true and lying is very thin.
There Are Many Things Beyond Politicians’ Control
A project with the great title «The Globe is the Entire Earth», is really turned to defenseless human heart that began to miss spiritual values, feels nostalgic for kindness, which never loses his skill to value comfort of “small” space, “small” motherland.
The proposed project is real - just as everybody’s need in real, rather than transient, values. It makes us think what is the most important for a human being? When alone, we recollect our childhood, our relatives: Granny’s kind fairy tales, Grandpa’s skilful and caressing hands. We recall the places where we grew up and became a personality. Obviously, the ability to be sincere with oneself and to open one’s heart to others protects a person better than the most dangerous weapon. It might seem that the love for one’s small motherland is everybody’s personal business, with which nobody should interfere. We can give thousands of examples refuting this delusion. In the conditions when the value of a place is frequently measured with its profitability and when feelings are sometimes unable to compete with money, the expressed attitude to any corner of the planet becomes of special significance. Love, just like a wave, passes from one person to another. It helps become stronger, not lose oneself and save one’s native land from being transformed into an alienated land. We should declare it! We should fight for the right to love!
Culture Involves Integrity
It is supposed, that the project “The globe- is the Entire Earth” will develop in space and time: it has consolidating feature, possibility to look back, aim at construction of future. It should “work” at different levels. Each of the levels is equally important. This project let “see” our planet from outside, think what happens tomorrow, think about every country contribution in general development, about the role every ordinary PERSON plays.
The project is intended to emphasize that the value of any particular region on the planet is determined not only by its nature, resources, culture and history but also by its innovative potential. Innovative opportunities of any particular region, city and settlement may be represented via implemented innovative projects, business innovations, the information on how modern organizational arrangements help unite the business community, authorities, the society and rank-and-file people in resolving important problems and initiatives. The results of search for new models of cultural and socio-economic development are of great practical importance. Therefore, the demand for «The globe - is the Entire Earth» project as for an international site that can play the part of an open forum for local authorities, representatives of NGOs, the business community and that is interesting to people who have the talent to create is likely to increase over time.
Event Initiation – is the uniqueness of the project
That is why this small house in Lapland won’t be a museum. This international social - cultural project aims at efficient everlasting ACTION. It’s for people who haven’t lost ability to dream, it returns the faith that heart kindness makes every wish comes true. Today is difficult to call all range of tasks it can solve. There are no borders for the good. The good is universal device which is able to find ways to peaceful settlement of ethno confessional conflicts, to solve opposition between culture and civilization. Under the aegis of this project different child’s festivals and contests, ecological expeditions, cultural centers can be organized all over the world.
Within the frame of this project another one can develop with the title “Speak to me, colleague”. The aim of this project is to invite to a straight talk leaders of national elite of different states- ministers, outstanding culture leaders, thinkers, sportsmen, who contribute greatly in preserving and development of human value system. These interviews can be published in newspapers of different states, at Internet sites. This part of the project is very important. After all, in that case ordinary people who are removed from solutions nowadays participate in the dialogue between representatives of intellectual elite of different states as the third party. Opened to the world dialogue of two ministers of different states assumes a brand-new quality. It wakens impulse towards creation in the audience; every person is invited to construction of future in such a way.
We would like greatly the participants of the international business and the managers of the large companies take place in the conversations. Their view on modern age is of great interest. The word “Entrepreneur” itself means a unique capability to create something in condition of indeterminacy, foresee and prevent undesirable events.
Undoubtedly, this international socio-cultural project could hardly exist without participation of the organizations which regulate world’s process. We hope this project will be a part of the global programs which are carried out by UNESCO, UNICEF, and cultural initiatives of the European Union.
